A thank you from Devon

Last week, friends and colleagues helped me launch kidneyfordevon.com, a website announcing my search for a kidney donor. Since then, my story has been shared over 13,700 times on Twitter. I've been completely overwhelmed by the response. Here's an update:

• We've received nearly 200 inquiries about becoming a kidney donor. We're still accepting applications, since diagnostics must be fully completed before we know it's a good match.
• We've raised $66,290 of our goal of $100,000. I'm in shock. Thank you. This will provide so much relief.

I’m humbled and extremely grateful for all your support. It gives me hope. For the first time in a long time, I can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

I'd also like to give a special thanks to my dear friends on the Kidney for Devon task force, who put so much time and love into making this happen.
